What about the 3rd party ( contract) stockers WF is testing in some stores. That would eliminate benefits if that idea goes companywide. WFM stockers will be eliminated and they then can apply at a staffing company and get 1099ed at year end. A win for both companies.
If high paid people are quitting OTS is working exactly as planned. Any job that can automated will be eventually why keep buyers to do the job a computer can do? Self checkout will eliminate CS TM, auto scheduling will reduce TL office time. If your not stocking or physically doing something in the store they really don’t need you once amazon gets technology in place.
I completely understand why you bailed. A lot of people in leadership positions are doing that because there is mental illness running amuck in WF. People that function using common sense can’t function in the chaos that now is WFM. Believe me, it’s much better to be out of WF and watch the cannibalization then to be inside and try to fight it. Glad you got out before it made you physically sick.
I found it easier to bail out of my TL job than deal with all of that OTS c-ap. I’d been a TL forever and was burnt. They went through the wringer getting certified in my region. I just continue to watch the unfolding drama from the sidelines as a mere team member...my bills are all paid and I am happy. F the BS and perhaps the worst is yet to come with the coming Amazon changes. They could be huge.
