Sea World Preventing Laid Off Employees from Finding Work

Sea World is enforcing a non-compete agreement against laid off employees who had decades of dedicated service to the corporation. Know of a 25 year laid off employee that was prevented from interviewing with an Orlando theme park due to threat of loss of severance and a lawsuit. Maybe someone should do a documentary about how Sea World abuses employees.

If you get laid off that non compete means nothing. Null and void.

Thier is a lawsuit going on for those who have been currently laid off. Those part of the lawsuit can not publicly speak about it as it’s beginning stages. If they win, it will be millions of dollars paid to the people who joined the class action law suit.

In reality they can’t but they can threaten. Unless you have knowledge of protected IP, non compete is pretty useless.

What?! are you kidding me? how can they enforce a non-compete if the person is no longer even employed there?

Non compete? Exactly how many other companies are out there that destroy mammals? Didn’t realize that was a marketable skill set.
