Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Stores have become ultra slow

and no one at my store is trending to make a commission check. Verizon is so wrong for how they have screwed the frontline employees out of a living.

While some employees certainly mistreated customers (with lies, unnecessary add ons etc) I doubt that is really the major cause of the decline. I think it's more just that customers are getting much more used to doing things online, and that now includes buying a phone or accessories.

And for those that want to find out more about phones, it makes more sense to get to a big box store that has phones from all the carriers and compare. Going to a one-brand store would be unwise in a lot of other contexts, if I go to any carrier store I'm pretty sure I will be told that their phones are the best, their coverage (at least where I am) is the best and fastest, oh, and you probably need a few insurance plans and/or accessories.... At a big box store I may get someone with very little knowledge, but as long as I can do some research myself, that's preferable to a biased hard sell.

You are paid commission for in store pick ups so what’s your complaint ?

Verizon isn't the reason you're screwed. You retail employees did it to yourselves lying to customers about tablets, hums flase churn, adding tmp to customers account without their consent...the list goes on and on. Customers are tired of being lied to and taken advantage of and when they find out what you did and go back to you to rectify the wrongs you did, you refuse to take ownership and fix it and push them off to customer service. Your commission structure changed because you use shady sales tactics and steal from the company you work for to make a larger commission check. Those $3000 commission checks you used to get probably should have been half of what you actually should've made. You only have yourselves to blame for this.

OP, please stop blaming others for your demise.

It was the way the renegades amongst your ranks operated unchallenged that was your death knell ( I don’t expect you to understand the terminology I’m using youngblood, but I’m guessing you’ll get the gist of it or, if not, you’ll Google it ).

To the best of my recollection, every time I or my partner went to a store we were lied to, cheated, and mistreated.

Only an absolute maschochist, or a poor old person that needs a little guidance in using the service that they are paying a premium for, would enter your dark and sadistic realm.

You reap what you sow.

Stores have become slow because we've been forced by management to sell out all upgrades as in store pickup so it doesn't impact rev. We are teaching customers to do our job. Why would the come in to our stores now other than exchange and troubleshooting.
