H1-b scam going on is bad not just for resident workers but also for the H1-b recipient. They are basically slave labor for 6+ years. The way it works is every layoff cycle pauses the clock for them on getting through sponsorship. After investing years at Cisco or wherever else in Slickcon Valley they are they get discouraged and just show up for work because they have no alternatives. They become the walking dead.

Slickcon Valley. So true
H1B issue is overhyped in the short term and underhyped in the long term. As companies like Cisco fail on innovation front this problem is headed from bad to worse.
If they are so capable then why they accept H1B at first ? It is they who accept H1B to show off in their own country. If they are capable, then, they should remain in their country and rear sheep and camel.
