I was LR'ed last September. I contacted my manager to ask for my old job back about 4 weeks ago. I got my old gig but at 1 grade higher. Will be going back on the gravy train.
If you got LR'ed, don't give up or feel shy to ask your previous manager for your old job, especially if you enjoyed working at Cisco.
@UI6sUba-3ycm, Yes you can be re-hired by the same manager after 6 months. I have seen a coworker coming back to his old position after his severance package ran out. Also Cisco openly announces that LR is not performance based. There will be legal impacts.
Start working from home again. Relax & enjoy your paid vacation now.
I call BS. You can't go back to your original manager.....otherwise they'll be flagged for LR'ing someone valuable (and there are legal impacts).
Next time around then...you'll be placed on double-secret LR-probation:

Good to see that their are a few good managers left in Cisco. Atleast in Bangalore there are only parasites as managers who will give job to their village relatives only.
