Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

Laid off....Now what?

In a time where the whole work force terrain is continually shifting ground and shaking loose people who've been secure in their white collar worlds for so long, there are alternate professions that have always been with us----and are even opening up and hiring like gangsters! Not as glamorous; maybe don't start with pay quite as much as you left, but they're attainable and sustainable. They are:

Trucking, welding, H-VAC, railroad, L.P.N./Med.Tech, industrial assemnly---there are more, but these are the bullet points to look hard at. You can be in your 50s and even have moderate health issues and still have a realistic chance at getting in with these----because there's a huge work ethic shortage throughout this country that employers are seeking to fill.

Bank on that!

@UJ2iTjZ-1ub - on the flip side you can also be brainwashed into thinking that its no big deal if you loose your position at the Home Office as all the vendors in vendorville will be jumping at the chance to hire you.......which is not the case....unless maybe you are an OTIF expert.

(Day one)

Walmart starts brainwashing everyone to think there’s no life outside of Walmart.

Give me a break!

Farms need produce workers too. You know, those jobs Americans won’t do?
