Thread regarding Fidelity Investments layoffs

No Investigation

I was let go late last year, however there were no investigators. I was placed on leave by my manager and told I was part of an internal investigation and would be contacted by HR shortly. My manager called me several days later and stated “the firm has made a decision to separate.” But couldn’t provide additional details. It wasn’t apparent to me that it was due to the reimbursement until I received a copy of my u4. My U5 even states I wasn’t under investigation. So how did they conclude there was any wrongdoing of there wasn’t even an investigation?

You probably were not under investigation, since they concluded the investigation was complete. They probably don't have to interview you.

Sounds a tad sketchy. Feels like you or Fidelity is holding out on some information. I feel like they’d at least have to give you a reason.

Okay. Defend yourself. Did you file for a reimbursement and then return the equipment? If yes, then you got what you deserved. If no, what were the circumstances that made up the issue on your U4?
