Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Posted schedule changing all the time.

Lately I've noticed that my schedule changes all the time. They post three weeks out, but I need to check every day to keep up. They are not giving notice of the changes. I know at one time this wasn't allowed. Did it change? If so when?

To ixph. Although a union may improve some things for the associates, if a union takes over any club, that club will be closed down immediately without notice. Unions could be a good idea but if this happens, everyone will be out of a job

Voting a union in will put a stop to all that sh--. History is going to continue repeating itsself because we allow it. Sit back and do nothing but b--ch and thats what a majority do. Stand up for your rights and vote yes on a union if it ever comes go that situation or sit back and complain and let them continue doing there b---s---. Balls in your court.

24 hours notice take a snap shot when it’s posted, if it’s changed without your consent they cannot hold you accountable.

has always been the policy they can change your schedule 24 or more hours out but the have to tell you....they have never ever been able to change it and not tell you and then blame you if you did not follow it.................if they want to change your schedule less than 24 hours out they have to ask you to change , can't tell you to..................in either scenario though they HAVE to let you know and if they don't the blame is on them..................

From what i read on the wire they can change ur schedule within 24 hrs if needed. They also told us in the morning meeting a few months back. Its frustrating to even make plans because our club only puts the schedules 1 week out. And if we request a day off months in advance they still deny us forcing us to call in.but yet managers can take a weeks vacation every month.

There trying to make you quit in frustration...too lower budget/cheaper new labor.

I noticed it also. I have kids to find a sitter for. Our store has had lots of call ins due to this issue, and people not able to find a sitter at last minute. Definitely something to ask about. If it was a change in the rules then why hasn't it been announced?

I'm with you on that! It's total BS as I'm a full-time employee and the hardest worker in my department. Should I even bother to fill out an availability form?
