Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

slotting freight

Is there any other clubs that their club managers have them slotting ALL the daytime pallets in the steel that they receive in morning?i guess daytime receiving has to do everything for night crew since night crew says they don't have time to slot pallets.it takes 3 associates away from receiving from our jobs and then we get in trouble and get told that its " unacceptable" that we are not doing our job and we need to make time with our 35 hrs a week given. My CM is impossible,they have no clue the things receiving does.i honestly think the CM wants us to quit. Now with this new receiving scheduling paper & water trucks come during the day.that's alot of pallets to slot

How do you have 3 ppl in receiving. We only have one now. No lead.

Why do you have three people to take out of receiving to begin with? One person to do the work and two to roll around on office chairs?

We have always had to slot any remaining freight that came in during the day that didn't get finished in the morning. It has always been that way at my club. But it was at least always keyed and tagged and ready to go

However lately, it seems that there is a movement at my club to just unload the freight, not key it, not tag it, and just let it sit there til we get there and have me asking why it is this way, and the response has always been "We didn't have the time to get this done". Also note that this is always after the receiving lead and the clerk have gone home for the day at 130. Becoming lazy if you ask me

U have to slot freight until 7am. Why you poor thing. Go work overnight if you think its so easy

How many u have on days. Its a give and take situation. Majority of our freight is coming in overnight. With new system its starting to come in on days
