Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Are raises possible outside of yearly 2%?

I am a hard-working associate who has been with the company many years but make only pennies over the $11 dollar starting wage. Is it possible to negotiate a raise with a salaried member of management? Or would it be a waste of my breath and time? Never heard of this scenario and nervous to ask around.

I know that one person received 50 cents instead of receiving the sam share. The 2% is a slap in the face.

The contract they had for the annual 2-5% raise expired but places any bets if you think they will give more than 2%

They don't do preform based raises anymore. It's the standard 2%. I doubt a manager can do much since it's based on your job code In the system and area. The only place where you can make more money in the club is fresh now. If you're a floor or front end associate then home office has pretty much given up on paying us our worth. Their whole pay scheme is terrible anyways. Knew a cashier that transfered to membership since it paid a dollar more if you were a new hire but home office denied them the pay raise because they where an internal candidate.
