No Hiring Freeze in Intel India
Several DCG and SMG reqs have been canceled on teams I work with. Most of them were to replace people that left recently, not to add new heads. Would seem to make sense that if they are going to cut headcount again it would be best to get it underway while Swan is in charge. That will give the new CEO one less negative issue to overcome.

The one open req that the BOD cannot seem to fill is for CEO. It's been 2 months since they fired BK. Could they really have not tested the response with any potential candidates? Surely BK knew something was up so they weren't likely to tip their hand.
Considering this board has been unable, for 20 years, to make any decision other than spend huge billions on ill conceived acquisitions, it's not surprising they cannot handle this one task.

OP is right. Reqs remain in place but they are not being filled unless exceptional cases. Fear not, layoff notices will soon be handed out.
