Probably QCT did have less disruptive things whereas entire teams were laid off, sites closed with most of the knowledge gone. The XMM7480 is very old stuff HW wise.

I am shocked that both phones have modems which came out in the same year. One modem has more features than the other one. I never would have thought that could be possible.

I am also completely shocked that a 7 times smaller team can build a better modem than a huge elephant of a team. Who could have predicted that?
