All the different pension plans have different rules and benefits. Go to HR Direct and then Pension and look at Plan Information. Read Schedule SB (Form 5500)

Some have a max of 25 years, some 35, some unlimited

Some have a lump sum option some only offer different style annuities

Best you study the plan you are on and use the pension estimation tool!

Most people with 35 years are not on the lump sum

Pension isn’t maxed. Honeywell keeps putting 6% of salary in account every year, so lump sum and annuity keeps growing.

If you have been there that long, your pension is maxed due to the change a few years ago.

Just start applying and interviewing ...worse case is you are still at Honeywell...best case in a nice pay bump and building another retirement nest egg

6ogg: Maybe they or us has to work the OT to make up for dental and vision insurance they took away plus on top of high premiums and deductibles. Which last year cost me about 11,000 for surgery had get done. Also the below cost living raises don't help too. Yeh yeh sure you will say get another job but some of us put in 34 years with company which by way like working for and not for Honeyhell and be hard in mid 50s to find a job? So we are not b--ching as you would say we are telling the truth about Honeyhell.

How about stop working 10 to 20 OT?Nobody is forcing you to do OT. B--ching about something you do willingly is stupid.

It's sad but I secretly hope for a RIF so I can get my paid time off instead of quitting. I'm a mom and need the pay for my family but really miserable with working 10-20 hours OT a week at a job that doesn't appreciate my time or talents. Terrified of intervies but I feel like I have to look elsewhere or begin sacrificing my health and continue to sacrifice family life. Also our benefits are 100% worthless.

Ditto 1cfy . 4+ years now for me and wife and so happy to be outta Aero and retired. No real complaining from us. No waiting or hoping or begging for a 6 mo rif package. We just gave a weeks notice and spent a lot of that last week saying good by and best of luck to many long time friends. It really can be that simple. GL to all that continue to slave away.

Just quit or find another job - with that attitude, I can't imagine you are carrying your weight. I am sure your co-workers love doing your work.

Get a new f---ing job...

This is the best time in a decade to find a job.

Stop b--ching and get a new one.

Unless you are just one of the useless leaches that s--- off the work of others and aren't worth a dime.

Seriously...this place doesn't s--- that bad. You probably s---.

I left Aero in early 2016. I thought it was the end of the world until I woke up the next morning and realized I’d left the asylum.

You sure got that right -1osg!

I’m almost certainly going to be put on a PIP very soon for not putting in enough unpaid OT.

Time for a career change methinks!!

no layoffs in sight.. just execs looking around saying "we aren't staffing programs"... "flow down a retention goal to the managers and fire them if they can't keep their people working unpaid overtime".

I agree with you that Honeywell has messed up UOP. You also need to thank the greedy management of UOP for selling out with how wonderful Delhi performs. Make it work and don’t complain to get your bonus. Vision 20-20 is coming hope you make your 7 years.

Ha sounds like it over here at PMT/UOP we have a lot retiring early or just leaving, even CTOs and vice presidents going guess tired of what Honeyhell doing too PMT/UOP. So sad PMT/UOP was an awesome company to work for. Hoping I can make it 7 more year myself then out here.
