What's interesting to me is that, the people on this board complaining about the ending of WFH, the Clearwater Olympics, etc. Are all complaining about Honeywell doing exactly what this Ted Talks suggests companies should do to end the pecking order mentality.

This is definitely a great talk, and food for thought to consider long term sustainable organization (including human being), comparing with what is happening in Honeywell does not seem so obvious.

Key driver for natural selection does not appears as being productivity, it looks rather than bringing friends together to create a family / group and thus shared accountability is the main driver. Based on this talk, this could be interpreted as empathy that is described as "good and sustainable".

Unfortunately, whay happens is that it creates group that fight against each other, and has got the same drawback as energy is used in a 0 value game to destroy the other instead of creating value.
