Isn’t this the norm? I worked at IBM in development for nineteen years and my FLMs always managed multiple teams.
One FLM managing multiple sales teams seems to be the norm these days and is no more than an ordinary cost cutting measure. You can imagine how disastrous this choice is and the consequence are for the sales strategy, coaching for the sales strategy, the time you spend with your teams and customers. These FLM's spend 80% of their time on the internal system - pity.
Yep, that's a problem. Given all other problems we have, I doubt this will get addressed any time soon.
