Anyone know what going on with new responsibilities for team leads. My team lead said they were going to have the power to hire and fire associates.

At any rate, i don't feel comfortable with any teamlead having my personal information. I know that our club has a couple who split up, one is a teamlead. The other isnot happy about him possibly finding her new phone number, address, etc. lt's totally unethical that a company allows your personal information available for hourlies to have access to. They're looking for a lawsuit.
As a TL we do not have the authority to hire and fire....while we will have increased access to information everything pretty much remains the same...Your TL might struggle with comprehension skills....
No , the rec clerk is not a team lead . They should have no responsibilities over any Associate.

I’m not sure you all know what hippa is. It is a law that protects your personal medical information. Why would you think there is personal medical information about you online?
Hopefully they block out numbers in the social and address ... only the Home Office needs that information . I don’t trust our shady TL having all my info
Yes please post when you find out if it is a HIPPA violation. I agree with you I dont feel good about Team Leaders having access. Team Leaders come and go, move around etc... then there goes someone else in your personal information. All they should have access to is schedule and attendance.
A lead can not do anything without manager approval.
HIPPA is only medical information. They don’t have any of your medical information online. They will however have access to your social security, tax info, marital status, address, phone number, etc.
I'm checking into whether that is a a HIPAA violation. It sure sounds like it. A teamlead having access to your personal information. I don't think so.

That's really STUPID..
All leads will have the responsibility to do everything a manager does, all though you have access it still needs final approval by your direct manager and club manager.
