Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Plan for Xerox

I just do not get what the real plan for Xerox is. I know the stuff John V says, but they really have killed the company. Layoffs are going to continue, people that stay are going to be unmotivated. The ones that can, will be looking for work. I suspect that it will be very hard to turn Xerox around now.

The annuity stream will only last so long. There is no value being created. How much are the assets worth. I cannot believe they can be worth as much as Carl wanted to get for the company.

No JohnV is just a puppet in the whole plan. Did you notice how his act changed from the first webcast we had with him to the last one?

They are trying to create a situation when people will not miss Xerox after IRIF. Miss paycheck and what ever left of benefits but not the company...

All I know is Carl is a pathetic human being. He continues to make money by tearing things apart, instead of creating. He honestly brings nothing to humanity.

If the Fuji deal had gone through, I may have lost my job, but it would have been so the company could go on. I would not have like it, but would have understood. That is not what is happening here.

Does anyone actually believe or trust our the new CEO John V

I agree with all three posts here. Spot on. Further Icahn is attempting to manipulate the stock further with buy backs. It’s such a spiral. Some have politically floated the idea of banning all corporate stock buybacks. Not sure if that would help, but this is sad.

Exactly. Check what Icahn has done at other companies. Same thing. Layoffs. Package up for a sale. Rinse and repeat.

It is a shell game. Making Xerox look good on paper for potential buyers. That's it. Period. Once sold, buyers will realize the boxes are beautifully wrapped empty boxes. It's over. But with the 'auction' shareholders will be happy and Caril will be somewhat happy. And that's all that matters. The customers sure don't. Employees? Who cares?! We're expendable.
