Anyone know why there will be increased security at HE starting on 9/4? Seems fishy.

I’ve never seen or heard of any issues. When there are layoffs there are maybe a couple extra people at the doors. That’s why the people commenting that it’s for sure layoffs on 9/4 are completely full of c-ap and have no idea what they’re talking about. A very specific memo was sent out about new procedures and an increased number of patrols starting that day.
Has there ever been an incident with someone getting laid off at HE? The stores yes because my store had one. Nothing big though. I'm just wondering because it seems like security is called in for layoffs.
There is a post mentioning around 50% layoff first or second week of Sept. It it's around 50% you are going to need a lot of security to ensure no untoward event happened.
Says a lot about the workforce there if you're asking us...can't put two and two together?
The same reason security is ALWAYS at an HQ....
Layoffs, and lots of them. Surely this doesn't have to be told to a Sears employee at this point?
I guess it does. No wonder you people are losing your jobs. Stupid doesn't even begin to describe you people.
Maybe the new security will replace the employees. You never know.
Perhaps they're laying off more folks, and they'll be needed to escort the laid off folks out the door?
Maybe Eddie is making a visit. He'll need protection.
-gyv Thanks for the laugh. I needed it
They don't want anyone to steal "the secrets to success"....that Sears clearly has hidden in a vault in HE.
There is a new security company. One of the guards told me yesterday. It is just a change in companies Sears is using.
Bankruptcy?
more lay offs 9/4?
I've heard there will be fewer security guards so swiping in will be more necessary.
