Everyone I meet at Cisco who has worked here for more than 10 years is mentally checked out. They basically do no work and collect paychecks, seems like 90% of the staff fall into this category. I haven't worked at a large company, is this really normal? It seems like a small fraction of people here are doing most of the heavy lifting

why work hard when you can bs your way to the top? look at de-mike in ccbu. never built a product - never coded a thing in all his years at ccbu - he is the master of bs. that is the skillset needed to succeed at cisco. not java, go, or python. the language of choice at cisco is bs
I recently applied for internal job at Grade 12 . There was an interview scheduled and the person taking the interview were grade 6 and 8 engineers from India, who do not know any other thing but basic C language. The job duties of grade 12 are very different and this seems to be a way to filter some people to outsource job to India, I feel.
