Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

We need a new leadership structure!!! John, Gisele, I hope you’re reading.

Our leaders lead by fear. They have no respect for the individual. When a market manager, regional or other visits a club, it is no longer to reach and train or to help grow sales. They tour to embarrass and berate managers and associates. This would have never been allowed 10 years ago. We have been raised to teach and respect each other, but that has been thrown out the way side. Our leaders believe there is a talent pool that is better and cheaper. And while, yes, certainly there is a cheaper version of us out there ready to take our jobs, cheaper is usually not a better product and usually falls apart twice as fast. Our company needs a direction change before we all lose our jobs because we’re out of business. Let’s do the right thing and take care of our members that those of us in the field love so much. John, Gisele the direction of this company is in your hands.

Totally agree no one wants to take responsibility but come on here and complain cause you think someone is poor leadership. Just wondering if you ever thought of stepping up to the plate, probably not you’d rather set back in the corner and complain. Own your decision and set the f--- down next.

all they care about is PLUS and CREDITS. How many plus memberships you got today as a cashier and how many credit applications you signed up!!!??? As a worker, never an hello for the TOP COS. Just as she comes over remember today.PLUS & CREDITS. Her boss is afraid of her.....everyone hates her. A front end COS transferred departments after 13 years because of her BS. She is out of control. Management by FEAR is the worse management style there is. NO ONE IS UNTOUCHABLE as I learned in my career. But she must of naked pictures of the GM of the club, for he says he can't FIRE her....he has no balls.

Well.... I do work for the company. In a prodominate role. The company does not care what we think. They just want facts to support their “opinions” to support them. This company is failing. Clubs and associates, including myself, are going through complete and total anxiety. We can’t support what John and Giselle expect or want. The market managers are not leaders they are showing us dirt on the floor and trash in the parking lot. We need a REAL leadership model. We can clearly see the dirt on the floor, but without the payroll to support that we choose product out for sale or clean up the sorry on the floor. We need some relief!!!!

McMillon, Cornell, Roz, etc. are all bathing in their millions of dollars. They all come in and do the same thing. Shake things up with some new vision and mo--nic new slogans and themes. In the end they all fall apart and they move on. Richer than you’ll ever be and laughing at the entire corporation.

Going by the numbers these 2 look great comp increase ectt. but eventually everything they have done and will continue doing will cause the mighty Sams to sink. If the shareholders knew how much money we have lost and will continue losing I think they may not approve. Right when things are about to get exposed these 2 will escape and go back to WalMart so they screw them up again. Kind of like a football coach that has broken all the NCAA rules and right before the school is investigated they leave the school and a new coach will have to face the uphill battle of cleaning up there mess.

I hope they take their severance package and leave. They are destroying what Sam Walton started. It one thing to keep up with the times and he certainly would have been a front leader, but these two are not right for this company

There is a Serious Need for Experienced Competent Leaders who understand the Club Business and how to run a 80-100M building. Sadly most do not. Visits and results make that painfully obvious!!

That is 100% Correct and they do not Care!

If they do not restore Competent Leadership

this Company is forever gone! It is past the tipping point, to restore it will require Leaders with the guts to be able get rid of the filth from top to bottom who allowed this Wreck of a Company to get to this state.

It is out of time! We all are !
