September is here what job(s) will they eliminate.

This is close to the time they notified business office. Then they had two months. I would suspect the company to eliminate at least one position to be gone before end of year, so they can save on bonus, insurance, . ..

As for receiving the biggest week to receive is week 39. We have 3 more weeks until the biggest week.

As far as Rec . The Holiday freight should be pretty much at each Club already just a few grocery and liquor pallets will trickle in . So , there job should be slowing up by the end of the month .

Optical margin doesn’t mean much when you don’t have sales. 500K in sales for the year is nothing. Some clubs do that in a day. Cheaper to outsource it and pay no wages or benefits. The company will do this to as many departments they can and not deal with managing ppl paying wages and benefits. Sad but it’s the reality.

Optical has a huge margin. So far my Optical has close to $500K in sales this year yet my hours keep getting cut. It’s all about “units” as opposed to actual sales, and our goals are based on the previous product which cost twice as much. I’m nervous as we all should be!

But optical's margin is very high. Almost the highest of any department in the club. It's not goinf anywhere

Optical is a drain on the bottom line with the cheap optical selection and low sales. Surprised still around...overhead expenses can’t hide for long

PTC elimination will be in the spring. Not all processes are in place yet. Career Preference replacement will be the end.

PTC this year Clerk in the Spring unless they eliminate both at the same time this year. Nothing surprises me anymore with this company.

You have to consider who has been down sized by job responsibilities. Photo never did a whole lot but will probably wait until remodel as well as Jewelry department. Does marketing really bring in what they use to. Why do we have a Team Lead position over one person as we do in Jewelry, makes no sense. Yes and look at Clerk and PTC what's going on with their position? 70% of job is gone, but our manager keeps these two jobs busy doing something. Who know but I' m sure the company has a strategy to eliminate key high paying jobs, it's just a matter working their way through the clubs.

MTL and maybe coordinator. They can give us notice in September. Then we have to work till Jan 31st. Gets them to the new year.

PTC will stay through spring of 2019.

Receiving is ok. They have the holidays coming. So maybe first of the year for them.
