What are you local people doing for health care? Im single and need coverage. I heard COBRA would be like $1,100 per month.

If you are in NY, this site may be helpful: https://nystateofhealth.ny.gov/
you can also apply for subsidies and coverage on Affordable Care Act website due to life change event.
If you're a veteran, apply for VA Health Care Benefits. I got laid off from Xerox a few months ago and applied for the VA Benefits and they are helping me now.
