Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

2%

Starting at 11per hour At a 2% raise per year, it will take over 30years to reach the max pay for a level A liltlle over 19 per hour, and if your lucky enough to start as a lead at 14 per it will still take you almost just as long to reach the max of over 24per hour. Fun fact

Who ever posted this (and none of that matters, you're getting paid to do a job, so do it or get the f--- out. Stop crying because you don't have a skill set.) You my friend are an id--t. Most likely a sh--ty manager who cares very little about anyone and will step on whoever you can while trying to get promoted. People like you make me sick you because you care about no one except yourself. Got a couple of managers just like you in my club. By the way p-r-i-c-k Im a manager as well and I understand why today's workers could care less about there jobs because they see how this wonderful company has no loyalty in its employees and in return they have no loyalty to the company. Things are only going to get worse.

@3fqo, Why so hostile? You sound like a real douche canoe. All this math, is it hurting your head?

Someone please dispatch the company nurse to this guy, his head exploded.

Costco base pay is now 14/h. At current $11 to 14 it would take a regular Sams associate 12 years to get to Costco’s base pay

And as you get the 2% pittance, cost of living is typically around 4%. You do the math.

I think this 2 % will eventualy change. They get rid of leads in certain departments then a year or so they bring back the positions. Pay has changed 3 or 4 times since i have been working here. Although things are rough all the way aroung i have to hold on to this to shall pass. Crossing my fingers.

That's why they want to get rid of all long timers because most all of us are making this much all ready if your not you are there within reason. New employees will never see this much and even if you did tough it out with the company that long you still will not make as much because you are part time still making 1/2 of what a full time is making, you would be lucky to see full time.

The company wants to make it sound good but if you stop and think about it, not so good.

The company has thought this out and knows what they are doing.

At 2% you will be making less in 30 years than you do now factoring in inflation.
