Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Sears is the only proper employer standing

Stores seem to be closing left and right here. There weren't that many to begin with, but we went from having four supermarkets in relative vicinity to only one. Honestly, I'm shocked Sears is the last holdover.

I'm really scared of what will happen when Sears closes, and we all know it will. This place will be in a world of trouble. Anybody else in similar situation?

Sears is the only company holding your town together?...that's scary. You may want to think about moving to a larger town/city/metro. Majority of the US we have businesses opening and closing both big and small all the time...not very important just a part of life. Drive past one day and say, "Oh man (blank) closed...that's it. Couple months late...another store opens up in the same place. The new store either lives or dies.

Sounds like a particularly scary episode of Stranger Things.

Where is 'this place'? Sounds like an economically depressed area.

What city are you in? The majority of the US is quite opposite.
