VZers hang in there. There is life after Verizon - a good life! Trust/believe in yourself. In all the skills that VZ hired you for in the first place, and then go take those skills and do something new/better!

That’s what I did .
I would really love to do the same. Would you care to share which openings or companies I should look into? I have attempted to leave twice with a package yet no luck for me.
Severance + lawsuit ÷ settlement = I'm rich and don't have to work anymore.
Thanks Verlieson!
I was in the November RIF. I was unemployed for 26 days and got a contractor job. Stayed there for six weeks and got on a permanent position with about the same benefits and only 2k/year less than my VZW base pay. The real upside is I only spent about $800 of my severance (I had been with the company for 17 years so that was a pretty considerable check) and I used the funds to pay off my house 10 years early. Better hours at the new job, much more stable, and room to grow. All in all, they did me a favor.
I quit in 2012 and never looked back. What is a verizon??? HA! Verizon never ever even enters my thoughts nowadays. Upward and onward. All of you should quit too. Be men and QUIT!!
