Fear Mongering

The constant threats and intimidation tactics are doing nothing but creating a hostile and uncomfortable work environment. I refuse to threaten associates who are contributing daily. The overwhelming majority of associates do a great day and do exactly what is asked of them. Granted; not all associates do what is expected but these are the exception, not the norm. There is a direct correlation in how people are treated and how they perform. I feel I’ve been able to achieve success, not by own merit but rather the efforts of my associates. My job is to take care of our members and associates, not to feed into or nurture the egos of narcissistic upper management. I’m in no danger of losing my position based on performance; however, if my proven management results and personal leadership traits are not appreciated nor wanted, then so be it. One thing is for sure, no amount of sales, membership or profit is worth mistreating people to attain.

Management tow the fear mongering line until the tables are turned and their job is in jeopardy.

Karma misses nobody.

Sow the wind, reap the worldwind.

Spit in the wind, get it back in the face.

Judas will tell you: “The money wasn’t worth it!”

Your club or market must be hell. Idk what kind of intimidation you feel you have to use, but getting rid of people who dont perform is part of business. It doesnt mean fire them. Train them, teach them, transfer and train them somewhere where they would be useful. Most people go to work and want to do a good job, but dont assume everyone can do any job.

Whomever you are , you are the definition of great leadership and a role model that is becoming a rarity . Keep true to morals , ethics and integrity and never cave in to anything less . If this company fails to meet you very high leadership standards then it's Time to move on to a better opportunity that is more suited for your leadership quality . God Bless !!!!

I agree. Management by fear creates disloyalty. Disloyalty breeds mediocrity.

Even fearful dogs stop being loyal eventually.

The last days are imminent. No need to sell your souls in the process. Keep your dignity!

Absolutely agree. It's not productive to punish people for mistakes. It's cruel to threaten their jobs.

Fear and intimidation is rampant in my club. Hardworking people are being harassed and written up for stupid reasons, while others do much worse with no consequences. They are targeting long term associates to replace them with lower paid workers. You cant fart in the wrong direction without being coached!!

Totally agree this is not good for morale or member service. By the time upper management figures this out it’ll be to late I’m afraid.
