Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

HD?

So what’s HD going to do now that his team is getting decimated - moved to the HUBs?

Some time ago it was posted that HD has been seen at competitor’s office, presumably interviewing there. Seeing how he is still around they probably wouldn’t touch him with the proverbial ten foot pole.

@klz when we use names mods block our IP addresses and remove all our posts.

stay away from naming names and foul language, it's easier that way

HD should go. RG should go. MH should go. There are losing the best talent. Not only are they losing them, but they are going to competitors like Salesforce, Microsoft, Workday, AWS, and Google. That can't be good.

College kids can't replace what is walking out the door. Oracle is done. They had a chance and the mis-execution and poor management blew it.

2) The OD and National cloud businesses are growing faster than Enterprise

once they get rid of all the enterprise layer of sales and support then these "OD & National Cloud Business" clients will be revealed to be what they are... NOT growing. OMC is the canary in the coal mines about this.

mid market clients which is what everything below Enterprise includes are all the small companies and upstarts that have not yet learned what Oracle software & technology solutions "mean" for them and their company's future. DISASTER. The SMB and mid-market targets or "national" customer segments as they are called here are what's left for oracle after the Enterprise clients (fortune 500) have become wise to the oracle business model of rape and pillage. Its all they have left to go after... and pretty soon, only foreign 3rd world countries will be a market for oracle. The EU are wise to Oracle. NA is Wise to Oracle. What's left that Amazon and Microsoft dont already own?

My understanding of RG and HD's decision making process:

1) NATD Cloud is not growing fast enough

2) The OD and National cloud businesses are growing faster than Enterprise

3) Hub is a core part of HD's vision -- and we are beginning to see some pretty cool things coming out of them.

4) It is very realistic to grow / serve OD / National customers with hub based resources

5) Belief is that multiple resources in hubs will make a bigger financial impact to the business than a few higher paid folks in the field aligned to Enterprise.

6) HD engaging with SK / MH in hopes of getting them to understand why field OEA/ECA attrition is so high, gain agreement SE is essential to the business, and get them to invest in it.
