A line from At&T went down which completely disconnected nike. They did not have a back-up line so they were disconnected and could not process sales.

How stupid can you get...not having a back-up line in case the primary one dies. Talk about an ignorant and inept IT department.

Get this...then the clowns told employees to keep calling AT&T and complain. They even got an AT&T VP to sit on the conference call.

Nike employees began arguing with AT&T about what they were doing to fix the problem, even suggesting that they allow nike employees to help troubleshoot!!!

Have you ever been hampered from fixing a problem because you were constantly being asked for updates and had to talk about what you are doing to the customer? That is what nike did when a line from AT&T went down leaving nike dead in the water unable to process sales on a major holiday.

They were blaming AT&T but the fact is that if they had a back-up connection the issue would have had minor impact, but instead they lashed out in anger at AT&T and expected all employees to feel the same.

Nike Tech is a political hailstorm. The leadership there does not care about good, quality hard work but the swag and benefits they get. There is so much corruption and so many good people are treated terrible. For the most part, they don't even know how to drive strategy. It's amazing they got to the positions their in.

Female as well as male leadership there. The female leadership (VP level) is terribly insecure and needs men to help her function on a daily basis and most of the men are bullies, aside from the VP of Architecture (good guy).

And swarming with Three Percenters. I just wish someone would walk around Uptempo and pay attention to the bumper stickers on pickup trucks.

Agreed, with ‘greed’ being the operative word. This is a Marketing ploy to deflect that terrible (and warranted) news of the past. Most of North America is not affected by the increases according to my sources. And Mark Parker won’t have to part with any of his over-inflated compensation which is appalling.
