To 3afc. You will not be offered a position unless you have something in Career Preference. Depending on how long to have been on LTD,

you may have to apply for Social Security disability. Severance is only if your position has been eliminated and you do not accept another in the company. Your

severance pay would be calculated

on your last twelve weeks of work.

You will have to check and see if

LTD payments are considered in

that calculation.

Yes you will be offered a severance package. Just make sure to go into the wire and clear all your career preferences. If they offer you a position through the computer system and you deny it, you lose your severance.

I’m on LTD and wheneverSam’s does eliminate the Receiving I won’t be able to take any position they would offer. Will I be able to be offered a severance package?

Screw Walmart and Sams. I buy from Amazon and yes I am a Amazon prime member and that is the only membership I will buy. I try my best not to buy anything from Sams or Walmart I know how they treat there employees. I know they have very few people working to help customers and they expect miracles from the few workers they have. Why anyone stays working for this company is beyond me. Hell with Amazon Prime I get tons of shows and movies and all the music I want to listen to for FREE and with Walmart I can get VUDU and RENT movies and no music. Ive learned to shop at Amazon and I get my package 2 days later iLL pay just a little extra and make sure I buy where its being fulfilled by Amazon. Walmart and some of the businesses selling on Amazon still don't quiet get it. Nothing more frustrating then seeing something that says ships within 3 - 5 business days. If I order something in the morning I want it shipped no later than the next day and I want it delivered to my front door. Amazon has exceeded all my expectations and more and I have no reason to look elsewhere even if I can save a buck or 2. Damn that kind of sounds familiar don't it Sams. The company can preach it and pay all these high ranking people to come down to club level and b--ch at the managers because things are not being done like they want and instead of fixing the problem put a band aid on it. They don't want to know the truth and we definitely are not allowed to put in any of our own opinions. Stop slamming your clubs with all the damn freight and my god you already have Christmas toys out. Give what few workers you have a little damn breathing room and actually let clubs think a little on there own. Keep you workers happy and alot of things positive can and will happen but when you continue with all your bs they will eventually give up and dont give a sh-- and thats where we are at now.

I waited for a possible severance pay months ago, and then decided my life was worth more than that. So glad I did. Hope a lot of you do the same. Not one regret!!!

update your resumes means get ready to job hunt because the show is wrapping up at Sams. In retail, you can’t afford to react and play catch up when it comes to changing with the times. Sad thing is the main assets Sam’s has going for them is what Mr. Walton preached over and over: take care of your people. Fast forward and that surely is the furthest thing from what’s going on now.

Winter is coming.

Keep waiting to react to the inevitable.

And I've made it big at Sam's also. Not hard to do. That won't mean anything when they pull the rug from under each of us. Have you even pasted these links that have been posted? You days are numbered. Everyone keeps trying to warn us, but nobody is listening. I just finished up some classes in another field. Scored a better job, and have given my two weeks. I could wait and get a pretty good severance, but that would be a bad move when I could actually start to build a great career. It's about my future. Not about some money that will disappear.

Nowhere in my comment did I say I was joining Amazon. Goodness no! No more retail for me ever again. I said Sam's/Walmart/target none of them can compete with Amazon now. I'm talking about business. I learned my lesson with retail. Like Amazon, I'm a lot smarter than the others.

I will tell you that I had the chance to join Amazon and after reading many reviews and speaking with some people who have worked for Amazon, I declined the offer to join the Amazon workforce.

Retail in general has been slowly loosing ground on being a job you stayed and grew with, make no mistake about it. But If you are saying to get your resume ready to join Amazon you are doing no better...not even close. Ever heard of the saying, “The grass is greener on the other side.”? If you are leaving or thinking of leaving your retail job for Amazon just remember what Amazon is...wait for it...a retail job.

I believe that no matter where you go or what you do that it is what is inside of you that will determine if you make it or not. So can people be successful at Amazon? By all means, yes, but I also believe people can (and have) made it working at Sam’s.

So true, Sam’s is way behind. I will not give up my Amazon Prime!

If they wanted to compete with Amazon, they should've started a looong time ago. Too late now. I admit, I love Amazon. Been a prime member for years, and take advantage of so many things they offer. It would take a whole lot to pull me away from them. And I mean a WHOLE LOT. Pretty much impossible. I even invested in their stock. They were smart with their moves. Sam's.. not even close.
