Thread regarding JPMorgan Chase & Co. layoffs

Why would JPMorgan lay off people amid record profits?

I see so many people here scared of layoffs, heck, I'm one of them, but I still keep coming back to one thing. Why would JPMorgan have layoffs amid one of the best second quarters we've ever have?

Just check out the latest earnings call: increased profits, increased trading revenue, rise in loans... Why would we need to cut costs right now?

We Americans have long bemoaned being sold for profits, young foreign workers versus young Americans, and as much as 50 percent for hiring young H-1B visa holders instead of older Americans, I am one of three Americans that work with 100+ Indians Tampa Hub, when Americans tell America's " Get out of my country"

Some companies like JPM simply have a culture of dysfunction. If the toxicity is coming from the top down, you may be better off coming up with an exit strategy, Of course, it’s easier to get a job offer when you’re still employed, every day top notch companies are looking to fill top jobs with qualified employees, Life’s too short to hate your job.

Take a look at the LAYOFF report for Berkshire Hathaway. Because Warren Buffett buys American companies and virtually only employs U.S. employees. What a concept.

There is HIgh turnover rate and working conditions are not good. pay is below market. And people are anandoning jobs.

It should starts with the hiring process. almost anyone can be a manager or above while the company still unable to curb staff exodus due to automation initiatives

MOST accomplished professionals can forecast that their employability is only temporary

Instead channeling their profits into productive investment JP. Are on pace to plow record setting into Stock buybacks. Which directly benefits our CEO salary , the reason why JP profits are so high is it a zero sum game, so labor is on the losing end of that, they are getting more out each worker, the number of jobs has already consumed by attrition.
