Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

And the rest of us?

So, Nike is being very generous and giving ten percent of employees a pay raise. I guess that's the "deserving" upper management and their favorites. And what about the rest of us "undeserving?"

Another Marketing by Nike. Big number of 7,000 makes the news. How much in $$ and this disparity has been going on for how long?

How can employees trust any one in leadership or HR, ER , Compensation?

Also Nike should really see who is adding Value. Nike wastes so much money they could actually make a big difference to the bottom line or truly compensate more people if they took a long hard look and did some investigating. I wish they would it would be nice to increase our profits and share it.

Look at Trevor Edwards' pay. He was the highest paid in 2017. The system is wrong and broken.

I was underpaid for years at Nike. Until I finally got a female manager who fought to get me a 25% raise. That in of itself shows how drastically underpaid I was. And, thinking about all the missed compounded interest in 401k, bonuses, etc was likely significant. While Nike creates a positive spin of raises for 10% if employees, the missed earnings potential for these employees further admits the suppression that’s been happening for years.

You don't want to be part of that 10%. It means that you've been drastically underpaid for a while.

This same thing happened over 25 years ago. I was one that got a raise back then. From what I recall it was about 10-15% to catch up with my co-workers doing the same job.
