Haha September is the date! Confirmed by upper management. No need to push any other date. You will soon find out! Better hit send before it's too late!!

If September comes and nothing is said in dirks plan what's the new date you will be pushing on us?

September will be when the cat is let out of the bag! Dirk's strategic review will be the end of DSD. Game over cheerleader! One team one dream my A$$! Big cover up to drag you to the finish line. You will soon find out.

Agree whole heartedly with the last few comments! Common sense!! If we were to make it out of 2018 it would be surprising!! Way too many red flags and although the holidays are fast approaching, retailers would love the margins and added profits without us!!

I read the q2 transcripts. When asked about dsd sounded alot like beating around the bush. No clarity. Cant let the cat out of the bag too early.

I agree! And for those questioning why we are hiring if we are exiting....there was a new incentive announced yesterday. $300 bonus is we can refer someone. They know once the announcement is made there will be a mass exodus!

Post ID: @1ivi+UlnckNH

Dirk is just holding the company line till the bitter end! He doesn't want a mass exodus and bad publicity. They'll spin it as they were committed to DSD but the stores are not. I'm not going to predict when. Only Dirk and his upper management know. My guess is soon!

Nobody knows specific timeline, we are leaving dsd! Will be well before 2020.

everyone on this site thought this month last month and the next month we would be done now everybody is saying 2020. We will be here for a long time DST is nowhere near leaving the market .

You're missing the point!! Dirk isn't in control. Walmart and Kroger are getting rid of DSD. Not Dirk's decision. My opinion some kind of clarity will be decided in September with Dirk's announcement. We'll be phased out over the next year. Ultimately we will all be gone by 2020

Not saying we're exiting or not. Just saying it does not necessarily take 6 months to roll out. What if it was in the works for the last couple years? These regional hubs seem to be ready. Auto replenishment seems to be rolling out across the country. It's not like they would tell us and then start the process. The huge cost of DSD will need to be taken out to stay competitive.

The Walmart lowering prices thing is because of something pretty much only Walmart can do which is volume based pricing/margin

(Numbers are just to show example) lets say If Walmart sells a 100,000 cases of nabisco or $X of nabisco there is a bonus or kickback on said cases or a % of sales given back if said goals are hit. So yes they might lose some money on margin in the short term but make it up a volume based deal

Walmart I know has done thing like this before to guarantee a price/margin on coke I believe by pretty much saying they would guarantee to buy like a million 2 liter bottles/12 packs but didn't get the better margin until they sold that million bottles. The store level never sees that extra margin that goes straight to headquarters and no one ever knows how much Walmart really pays for stuff after a deal like that

Ok here is my math on why we still have plenty of time here because at any given time we are still 6 months to a full year away from an exit

DIRK told shareholders that dsd is good and great, meaning nothing is being announced this 1/4 because it wouldn't make sense to praise DSD then make the anocment that we are killing it. So that buys us 3 months. I also don't think anything will be said right before our biggest 1/4 of the year so that's probably 3 more months

The exit will take 6+ months to roll out after anocment and most likely be at a 1/4 close or 1 month after for merchandisers

I know someone here will bring up that they only need to give us 60 days notice but be real the transition is going to take a minimum of 6 months

If we are leaving DSD why are we still hiring full time and rep positions? Doesn't make sense

The warehouses don’t need to be liquidated, they will use them as distribution hubs. They consolidated all the smaller branches for one large branch years ago, this was phase 1. They will use these large depots to take product to distribution centers of retailers. Like it has been said in the past, the wheels have been in motion for a long time!

Nabisco probably cut China Mart a deal. It will help liquidate warehouses for the DSD exit

Do u really think China mart is lowering prices and still absorbing dsd cost going forward no their not shot term yes until their ready to turn the switch on and do their own ordering dsd is dead at nabisco soon

by

Post ID: @coj+UlnckNH

China mart the big player stores coast to coast once China mart starts ordering for themselves the game over for nabisco their no way nabisco stays in dsd when China mart takes over nabisco not paying to tweak orders like the nabisco cheerleader on here claims Kellogg been killing nabisco with a pen and phone for months

What they won’t pay for is the service part of dsd. If we don’t than retainers would sell our product for more than our competitors and we would lose, like we are now!!!

We will be done way before 2020!!

2020 I believe is when we will exit DSD. I heard that's when our contract is up with Walmart.

I have had store that have been able to order there own product for years they are biggest chain in my area so that's nothingnew, and if its Walmarts and Krogers decission to go warehouse and we dont want to why we would we pass any savings down to them? If it's there choice

Wal Mart does price match, but dropping over 1000 prices in grocery is a little different! This is just more evidence of the instability of retail right now! They have to lower the prices to stay in business but with that they need to recoup margins somewhere else. They now can make this move because of the savings after a dsd exit.

As for when? Anyone’s guess but I would be surprised if we make it much longer! I’d guess before the end of 2018. Kroger has been planning for a long time and wal Mart is ahead of them!!

How do u expect to keep your job when stores have the capacity to order your product you think nabisco keeping us around when stores do the ordering and that where it’s heading the biggest red flag of all should tell u dsd is soon ending all nabisco wants is to get to the finish line and that means dragging you accross the finish line

by

Post ID: @cmu+UlnckNH

Ok the main argument is that mybe one day we might go warehouse but there is more proof at the moment that dsd is here to stay for now then that we are exiting.

When is the exit in your opinion? because I 100% believe we will still be here next year at this time

My stores have Oreos on sale. Must be liquidating the inventory. Haha clueless. Walmart lowers prices based on the market place. It’s normal.

You titanic, send resume, pen and paper, calling everyone paid cheerleaders people are either crazy or trolls.

Everyone else should hold you heads high. We are winning and Keebler Is losing. You can’t sell crap even if it’s $1.

Excatly! Walmart is dropping prices already on Nabisco products. Also Kroger with the flash sales. Dirk will change his tune in September when his strategic review announcement.

Don't listen to titanic and hit send person. DSD will be here till at least 2020. No need to hit send. Dirk values DSD and is pleased with NA growth.

“We believe in dsd and we believe it can be a differentiator for us”. “We”! Since retailers pay for our services it isn’t a “we” decision! It’s a “they” decision! “We” can talk all sat about how “we” benefit from dsd! Retailers don’t care about how much money “we” make! They care about how much money “they” make.

“They” can make more money without dsd! “They” built a 60 million distribution center, they are CAO!! Pay attention and read between the lines! Dirk too is doing his part to keep things together!

Dirk Van de Put, Mondelez International, Inc. - Chairman & CEO [12]

Yes, Andrew. Well, of course, the best measure for us is our share performance. That is what will give us the clearest measure. We also, of course, look at our customer service and things like out of stocks and so on. And that is clearly improving for us. And I think also the fact that we are much more clear on our communication about the fact that we do believe in DSD and we think it can be a differentiator for us. That has caused us to get more confident in our [themes]. If we go a little bit deeper, the things we typically look at is the number of displays that we have, what's going on with our share of shelf. And there, we see clear improvement and clear increases. So those are the different factors that we look at to be able to understand how DSD is doing for us.
