Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Anybody optimistic about the new CEO?

Anybody here actually believes that things at Lowe's will change now that the new CEO is all settled in?

Some people at my store have been optimistic about it, but frankly, I think we are in for a whole bunch of same ol' same ol'.

Unless he decides to replace the entire management in the company, top to bottom. Then I'll jump on the positivity train.

I’ve seen his “come to Jesus” podcast on connections. I love the part where he talks about his daddy being a share cropper. That describes my situation exactly; working 3 jobs to make ends meet.

Let us not forget his 5 million signing bonus on his first official day. I didn’t get a signing bonus my first day, I got an ultimatum - take it or leave it (my pay, tried to negotiate higher rate).

I wish him well but I’m not buying the “I’m just like you stuff.” Not until I see some real changes in Lowes; higher pay for those that work, no more bully managers, technology that actually works, and better scheduling to name a few.

I think you are right. I personally think that the investors have some type of plan in place, so that if they fail, they will profit. Last time they bet on a win with Marvin, they lost big time. This time I think if they bet on a lost, they will win. Marvin is nothing but a LOWE'S closer.
