One of our metrics that is supposed to be zero would be sending assignments for a staffestimator to look at a drivable vehicle. Even though it may be allowed in a certain area, we are supposed to list that car as not drivable so it doesn’t show up on the report. I can’t believe we are being told to falsify data in claims files — where has our integrity gone? What will be the next metric that they want false data on?

A lot of these posts read like someone who doesnt work the actual positions heard some info and then posted here. Yes you need to put info into 3pet, sometimes to make it work. No one uses 3pet we all over ride its decision because its garbage. It might help me ballpark in certain situation. Yes we have more or less stopped staff estimates, but can still order one in special circumstances.
So for the record in 5 years of injury ive never once paid a 3pet recommended dollar amount. Ive set up SE plenty.
This thread is what happens when express handlers with 7 month experience start posting about the company. They get it all wrong. Typically accurate info gets downvoted here so have at it!
They cared so much about the customer that they removed a costly option many customers liked, and a few actually need due to disability. Part of the whole gaslight on quality and care, hammer everyone on quantity metrics.
Nothing to see here. Humans finding a way to take care of the customer in spite of all the automated bureaucracy they’re faced with.
This site is just overrun by bitter bots. Railing daily about how we don’t serve customers anymore. Now railing against common sense efforts to do just that. Because railing is the real mission.
I am not sure why someone will always jump to the conclusion of fraud against an insurer when it is 99% the other way around. I deal with Insured fraud every day, faking accidents, and so on thinking they can get free medical or even worse, win some kind of judgment, all to the end that they just don't want to have a job anymore. The sheer enormity of the number of people doing this is gross. So if a company does a short cut, or has a certain amount of repairs that causes them to total a car, or if towing fees are lately in the hundreds if not thousands, a work around is warranted, not a blow by the evil empire!
@UpefatE-yega Let's just point out here that these people are the ones asking for their cars to be inspected at their homes, after declining all of the other options.....Sometimes the answer is really the simplest one, it is just a system work around.
Express associates are advised to mark a vehicle not drivable if an estimate needs to be done at home. Associates are told it's a system work around, but customers complain this lowers the value of their property.
In Injury we have been told to input FAKE information about injuries into 3PET...even before we receive the actual medical records. They call it ‘modeling’. LOL. This is all so that some report shows that the 3PET garbage tool is being used. I wonder why we were only given this direction verbally? I wonder why they didn’t put this direction in the all knowing SCP? Unethical much?
(And all 3PET is, is a way to have inexperienced & untrained reps with no injury claim knowledge, input some injury info and get a claim value to spit out. Then when the attorney calls to negotiate the settlement, these reps have no idea what they’re talking about. All adds up to the over payment of claims. Great idea, SF. )

Obviously you don’t understand the guidelines. You are supposed to change to non-drive for specific scenarios so it’s not tracked. This information is for us and is not falsifying data. Don’t be part of the problem.
I think OP is trying to make the point that asking employees to falsify ANY data or information in a claim file ( which is supposed to be an accurate accounting of actual activities performed ) is unethical and a slippery slope — even if the falsification is trivial and doesn’t hurt the customer. Those files notes sometimes end up on display in a courtroom in front of a jury. A bad faith suit againt the Company could have a really bad outcome if it became known that State Farm is falsifying any information in their claim files. When you start falsifying one set of data just to make the metrics look good, where do you stop? If one thing has been falsified, you have to assume that all of it may have been falsified. I bet Wells Fargo started out small like that too.
The guy making sauces for Chic-Fil-A is probably that Schuler guy from Breaking Bad.
Chick-fil-a need some process id--ts to develop a metric for sauce desirability selection and distribution. It is apparent they will fail.
As I’m eating my Chick-fil-A lunch and reading this thread on this highly questionable web site about State Farm falsifying data, I can’t help but think what’s up with Chick-fil-A? I mean I love all of their food but my biggest gripe is there dipping sauces. They have the worst dipping sauces of any restaurant. McDonald’s, Zaxby‘s, Popeyes, all have better dipping sauces. I mean come on Chick-fil-A! Let’s try some new recipes!

It's such a big secret it is even in the SCPs to mark it Non Drive at a NPS.....so many things wrong in claims and this is the drivel you complain about?

Similar thing in Total Loss Claims. We are being told to send settlement documents to customers even when they dispute or don’t specifically state they agree. This is all to please whoever says this metric even means something.
This does nothing but piss customers and attorneys off which generates more calls.
The only metric they push in total loss claims right now is how many total loss settlements you “send” and if there are anything wrong with the docs you send out.
We’ve got people totalling cars just because it’ll get them the metric, these are cars that are no where near a total loss and should be handled as repairable. Just another policy cancel due to a total loss on that vehicle.

Uppers don’t want to hear that these metrics aren’t working. I’ve personally seen TMs pushing back and either not getting selected for new jobs or being demoted. The question is really how long can this go on for before we don’t have policyholders or claims staff?
My Proximity team has been told to print out new mail that we will not be able to work within standards and put it on the side of our desk to be worked when we get a chance. The light is green for the mail being cleared out so the higher ups are happy. It also gives a false message about what we are able to do in a normal workday.
