Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

Does this mean no layoffs?

Just wondering, considering that we are doing better and shares are moving up accordingly, is there a chance any planned layoffs will be put on hold?

No layoffs! False rumor spreaded by Keebler when they left last year. We'll be here for years to come. Dirk has a new vision.

At this point I'm wondering if we'll make it out of 2018! Definitely before 2020 DSD will end.

Wrong!! It’s gonna happen before 2020, retailers are just making minor tweeks now!

It won’t happen until at least 2020.

Speaking of id--t! You are clueless! DSD builds our expense into the cost of the product! They pay for us to deliver, order, merchandise, etc.. They already have people that stock, for a fraction of the cost, CAO which will order and a GM that will tweek, and trucks that deliver from their warehouse. So eliminate all the above expense and put vendors in a warehouse where they pay slotting fees for retailers to warehouse product and there is considerable savings. Watch for retailers to begin eliminating skus, we will only carry our top sellers!!!

Educate yourself!!! As a former Mondelez CBT you seem to know nothing!!!

Kroger doesnt get anything for free. It's all built into the cost.

id--ts...not sure why I am even wasting my time here because you all don't have a clue anyway. If Kroger wanted to save cost, why would they want out of DSD?? That makes less sense than anything you all have said. Kroger gets free warehousing, delivery, merchandising, ect...the list goes on. " Let's save money by adding warehouse space, warehouse workers, drivers, trucks, stockers, ect"...that sounds like a great way to save money.

Pen and phone does more than DSD everyday! Game over! Dirk's strategic review will reveal that soon.

Thanks! Some people don't get it! Not a we decision! Kroger is cutting off visa cards due to the exorbitant fees. Cutting costs everywhere. DSD is dead! Game over!

Again, not a “we” decision, a “they” decision! Their sales are not up!!! That’s why they are opting out of dsd! Get it yet?

Could be, could also not be! If they let people go in waves it may not be? Who knows how they plan to do, all I know is that they do plan exit dsd, not a doubt in my mind!

There are no guarantees you will have a job tomorrow!! Did they guarantee your employment for 2019, did you sign a contract? Get a copy in writing, won’t happen!!

Shareholders enjoy losing money. We get to keep our jobs and tweak orders!!

Get real!! This decision has been made years ago

The unhealthy snacking category has been declining for years. So we dumped some extras in at the end of the quarter. Alot will be tossed in a couple months. Not sure a small uptick after years of decline will make much of a difference. Mondelez is the same as every corporation out there. They will do what ever is the most profitable. We will have to keep lowering our prices to compete which means less profit. The only way to counter that is sell alot more volume. Don't see that happening.

Dsd is ending, work hard to make any $ you can. Kroger has us next in line to take warehouse to increase their profits, that’s what they are out for. We may have had a good quarter but Kroger still suffers!! To Kroger it’s about them, not us!! At the end of the day Mondelez needs Kroger before us!! Watch

Nope. Kroger is linking into our systems 8/01 and we are going to be the only vendor left “testing” dsd. I won’t put the date out there but it won’t be long. Reps that are a part of the CAO test will “tweek” Kroger orders just be like we do at WM. The stores that are all a part of the largest division are the ones testing. Figure if they can get it right in those stores the smaller stores will be fairly easy. If you still don’t think dsd is ending, just wait!!!!
