Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

Nabisco may not want to leave DSD, but...

Nabisco may not want to leave DSD but Kroger,Walmart and other chains aren't renewing their contracts. Nabisco is being forced into warehouse. It's been in the works since 2013 when we closed branches and warehouses. 2020 is when the contracts run out in the big chain store's. We may go before 2020. Whenever the big chain's are ready is when we're done. I'm thinking it won't be much longer. Walmart already CAO. Publix CAO and Kroger CAO in big markets. Nabisco upper management will say that we're committed to DSD but the stores weren't.

It's not free labor!! Pricing is built into DSD

Doesn't make much sense. DSD is free labor to stores where merchandising is concerned. Also, as far as Keebler is concerned, have you seen their product on the shelves lately? They do not have as many selections, plus they are low or out of many varieties. Is that where Nabisco wants to head? I would hope not!
We won't be let in on the secret until they tell us for the next meeting "btw, bring your car with you".
Smh and wondering. C

"Jan DSD is dead"

"Fed DSD is dead"

"April DSD is dead"

"July DSD is dead"

"Sept DSD is dead"

"2019 DSD is dead"

"20xx DSD is dead"

I'll keep collecting my easy money packing out cookies until they actually announce something why would I get out now? I'll stay till the end whenever that is no other job in this field is this easy for the amount $$$ there paying us. When they actually announce something is when I'll care, I'll have a min of 8 months to 2 years from now to find something else.

60 days min they have to give us plus 6 months unemployment.

Most likely a 6-8 month till full exit, then 6 months severance, then 6 months unemployment.

Anyone that says anything about taking unemployment I've paid 18-20 years into it I plan on getting every dime out of that 6 months

Wrong Meryl Haggard!! It does matter. We're all going to the unemployment line! No way they'll raise prices on Oreos to keep DSD going. Store's want the price margins back in their favor. I'm not saying Sept announcement but it will happen when Walmart and Kroger are ready to take CAO over. Won't be long Meryl Haggard

Coke, Frito and Pepsi will go cao eventually. They are cao in some markets but retailers are wisely taking back dsd one company at a time, Mondelez is next.

Wait a minute, it was suppose to be January of this year dsd was suppose to end. Then it was March, then may, then July, no September. Well if we make through September, everything is gonna be alright you know. Because it doesn’t even matter, any which way we go. If we make through September, all Oreos will go up you know, and it doesn’t really matter..... any which way we go.

No one knows when! Educate yourself like this person does. They see DSD evolving. Look at all the red flags. It's all about profit. Pen and phone is the new direction. Hostess did it. Keebler did it. Sales are up 30% in Kroger for Keebler. They're winning everyday. Displays everywhere. Better prices. Better profit for store's and consumers. Dirk has been saying that we have to put the consumer first. DSD structure will put the consumer 2nd to Keebler. September it will be announced. No way they'll keep this smoke and mirrors going much longer. DSD is dead!

I don’t know when it will be over, so if that means I know nothing, your right.

I read these type of comments that suggest things such as;

“Dsd is king”

“We are too big”

“Dirk is committed to dsd”

All these comments are sad, ignorant, and shows signs of people living in a false reality.

If by not providing an exit date means I know nothing, I disagree! I know plenty!!

Just wait and see! Things are already evolving and will continue to, till our exit!

Just saw an article on a new oreo. Kind of looks like a "combo". Then I read the reader's comments. That's where the problem for us is. Mostly things like "I will not buy cookies made in Mexico", I only buy store brands and save a buck or two.Ect., Ect.

First of all your talking to multiple people, there are more than one replies!

I know how it works because I’ve been an accountant manager!

Do you have idea how that works? Yes, prices on invoices differ and some sales are off invoices and some scan based, depends on his they are set up. What retailers pay for a case of Oreo varies, whereso you think the variation comes from?

Sounds like you would do well to educate yourself!

How do you know about contracts??? I’ve seen invoices with nothing on them. Are you making stuff up?

Off invoice or scan?? What are the timelines for negotiations. Is it annual or something else. Not to be a jerk, but you seem to have some knowledge.

How do you know the contracts are up?

All retailers have contracts, it’s how they earn money to promote our product. Whether it’s WM running a role back or using it to promote an everyday low price or Kroger for a mega sale or flash sale.

Retailers pay for dsd, the cost of dsd is added into the cost of their product. If and when they eliminate dsd, order and stock product themselves, they get product for a cheaper price. They don’t pay the premium for our services and delivery. Dsd 101!

Not fake news, dsd is ending!
