What signs did you see to know if a store was going to close?

Union activity will get you on that list for sure. Don’t they like a union swat team if they think you’re going to vote a union in?
The company is very smart...They need to get in those holiday sales before they close down, so don't expect closings until January, which 1/31/19 will be the end of the fiscal year. Also, they didn't inform the 63 clubs that closed 1/10/18, so what would have changed to make then notify associates this go round? My club lost several managers and we have not recovered, sales have tanked, business owners left after business memberships were no longer an option, and associates have transferred out. It's very sad to mess around with people's livelihood.
Uuqg7, that is not a good sign... But then the question is, will be be in January or before? Not saying you will be closed. But it's not a good sign.
We noticed our club is on the list to hold the shipping of the new cafe water vending machines, our sister clubs have received theirs. We are a low volume unit.. we receive lately our dc trucks every other day now. there is no real freight up in the steel.
What club?
I kid you not I have a manager that openly says our store is going to close in a year or so. Great leadership.
There are many. Look for inventory reductions they start in Q3. Excessive Markdowns in Categories . There will be others , Clubs getting new equipment ? You will not receive it. Those signs we looked passed but were obvious. We had a bad feeling like the Cash Recycler . We knew the story the MM gave that we would get it next year was Bull. The case cleaner power washer ? Did not get that either. The real end came when we started missing Produce deliveries a week out and receiving no DCs
Then it’s imminent . That happened in early Jan. We were notified on 1/10 we were closing the next day!
