Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Wireless 3rd party

Still no smart circle in our store, all they tell us is that they will be taking over any time between July and October, how did the process go down in stores where they are already in there? Did they come in one day and take over or was there a week notice saying they’ll be in to set up?

Smart Circle showed up in our club today, we supposedly train them until the 31st then we cut all ties with the connection center. Our GM was telling us they will strictly be there to sell phones, square trade, and accessories! I was like damn must be nice, we have to do the tasks of cellular, electronics, hardlines & cover photo breaks on top of being a “runner” at the front end every 20 mins when a COS calls for help bc there is no floor partners until later in the evening. Does anyone know if you can still take the severance package if they have already offered you a different position and you initially say yes but haven’t officially signed that job code?

We have had smart circle for a while. Yes! They are rude! Members here do not like the fact that they are doing the contracts because the member does not get the one on one member service like i did it. Phone contract sales compared to last year are down in our club. We just had the August wireless event and lets just say members were not happy. Smart circle is only concerned and focused on directv sales.

Still connection center here. Infact i've been the only one in connection or electronics for the past week. Sam's club is great because it forces you to quickly problem solve, great tools for better future jobs. Running events by yourself is the best thing ever.

I dont keep up with the warp inventory so members cant do the online phone reservation. Also samsclub.com can go f--- itself since they emailed all the preorder members during the s8 launch to just come into the store and get them activated, no appointment or even call to ask if we had the phone (i didnt even get the ups box with phones yet).

All i can say is TRUCK YEAH some f---ers are taking over this sh-- show of a operation. If they can sell more phones, great, good for them and sams club. You really do get good deals on phones at sams club, just hope they actually have a phone and be ready to stand for 3 hours.

Now if you excuse me i'm moving to a department that gives me a more stable schedule so i can actually spend time with my family who i miss dearly. Best part of it all was meeting people, it was really a "connection" center. 10k activations under my belt. Signing out of this dumpster fire my homies

We had notice they were coming in on a certain date. You will audit all of your inventory for Cat. 74, including sim cards. They have no access to the cell phone lock up cage, they have to call a COS to get cell phone for each contract. Make sure the WARP system balances with the final audit in SMART. Make sure that they scan the bar code from WARP contract into the POS and everything should go very smooth.

I am still working the connection center. coming in every day and say to myself do

I still get to work cell phones today or am I going to be training some id--t who doesn’t even want to do it, secured a position in electronics and untill they take over I am still being assigned electronics tasks. Very annoying just awaiting fate.

The transition has been smooth outside that they just started with WARP user guides and got some register training. When they first started they were getting and returning the til but as of this week their corporate told them that a supervisor had to get the til and turn it in for them.

Just like when you start. You just learn it yourself.

Are the phones still needing audits if so who does them? Electronics or smart circle? What is expected of them from sams club? Do they even get their own till?

Our club had no notice at all... they showed up and took over. Didn’t seem to want any help , really were quite rude. That first team was actually fired and we now have a very nice bunch at our club. Selling phones like crazy.
