Thread regarding Molina Healthcare Inc. layoffs

@UxQwluN-3nzl You are welcome. I'm continually astonished by the posts and comments on this site and by people I know who work at Molina Healthcare. Any optimism about Molina at this point is ludicrous. It makes no difference to me if people want to bury their head in the sand and think they can bank on severance but it does explain the companies failure, so some degree. The same collective intellect that ran Molina into the ground, remains optimistic about it's future. #makemolinagreatagain

While what is stated in the article is all true, reporting increased earnings after continual lay offs and sales of significant portions of the organization is misleading. Revenue fell a bit, regardless of the on going reduction in work force. Reductions in workforce are the easiest way to reduce administrative costs and hit your bottom line. While the earnings improved.....revenue being less than it was last year is far more telling. "Revenue, however, fell to $4.9 billion for the trailing three months from $5 billion a year ago."

The statement about the shares increasing is misleading as it the increase is partly due to the $65 million stock buy back. "Shares in Molina Health Care rose 17 percent to nearly $122 by market close. Its stock price was 104 percent higher than the same period last year."

Eight ball stills says......."Outlook not so good".

That’s great news! I think we are doing well and hopefully we will get our generous merit increases really soon. Definetaly money well spent on JZ!
