I've heard there will be another reorg. this time with many lead/engineering managers going in Houston.
Budgets are continuing to be slashed and jobs will be cut.
Can anyone confirm?

Why lay off, people are quitting on their own.
I agree. We have far too many field personnel and the easiest way to save money is make some cuts. This will save not only on salary and benefits but meals and vehicle expense.
We have some fantastic technology coming in 2020 and we will be able to demand top dollar for this equipment. Much of this can be run remotely i.e. in a war room where one Directional Drill can control several rigs.
I support our new CEO and (Mark) his vision - Make Weatherford Great Again!
Good luck team
8 guys and only two managers, thats way too small a manager ratio for Weatherford, it should be at least 8 managers and two workers.
I'm concerned. I work in our engineering department and we have only 8 guys (excluding my 2 managers) working on 3 projects that must be complete by H2 2019.
We need to keep our engineering team intact - we have unnecessary people in the field (in fact sometimes we send 2 men on 1 job) that are expendable.
New Product development is the only way we will differentiate ourselves for our competitor thus gain market share and an advantage.
WFT is a big-time sweatshop. The managers who do nothing but bark orders get the large chunk of the pie while the rest gets peanuts. Where’s the justice in this...
Every sector of every O&G company in the industry is hiring like mad....why does WFT still have an employees, or do you all just want have something to piss and moun about.
Correct me if I’m wrong but did Mark say in the call this morning that the way WFT is retaining talent is by giving managers bonuses? Everyone else under them just get a pat on the back.
Lay off my boss, he’s a giant douche
I can confirm the company is f---ed lol
The field makes money. We have a history of spending money on R&D and after purchase a company that dies the service.
I have heard the same. Mark will make changes and the easiest way to save money is to get rid of high paying jobs.
Timeline?
I have a hard time believing they would slash the budget of one of the only product lines that’s making money.
I can confirm. Focused in DS.
