Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

Customers leaving

How many customers have told you they are leaving and not returning since Amazon takeover? How many have said they now chose Trader Joe's or Fresh & Easy or something third?

People used to come here becasue WFM used to stand for something. Nowadays, that's gone. And with it our customers.

But hey, with Prime customers who keep asking where the Coke is, I'm sure we'll do even better. /sarcasm

I have had 3 different sets of customers tell me this week that they used to get all their stuff at WFM but now have been forced to shop other places due to the items they used to get that have been discontinued, the mess the store is in with boxes all in the aisles and shelves looking like c-ap. Also the type of customer has changed, ignorant people who are rude and leave stuff all over the store make me want to avoid the sales floor. One person said she will never come back because of all the Prime stuff. It's getting more and more like Walmart every day. Unhappy TM's and customers is daily life there now.

I’m done with Whole Foods. Every store I’ve been in looks like c-ap. Thanks, Bezos! You’re nothing more than a walking ego.

I would have customers say they didn't mind paying a little extra because they loved our customer service and appreciated how well we were taken care of. Well, customer service has now gone out the window with OTS and all the labor cuts and we are no longer "treated" well. The top wants long term high paid employees out and part time, low paying, could care less employees in and it shows. We are getting new Amazon prime customers in with no time to give them that great customer service to keep them while our regular customers are leaving for all the reasons previously listed. This is what you created from the top, stop screaming about it down the chain so it falls on us.

Even the product comes in bad. We have more and more spoilage(which prepared foods sells as fresh). Yet leadership always tells us how great our sales are.

I've had people tell me they aren't coming back because of the out of stocks (thanks OTS), but never the prices. Out of stocks, combined with the mo--ns at the "top" giving us plan-o-grams where we cut our top movers, means we lose guests.

If anything, i've had several people on the floor ask how they can get the extra savings by downloading the whole foods/amazon app

It was always a bussiness it was a charade from the get go pretend to be different to make pretentious a--holes feel better about shopping at an overpriced grocery store. It amazes me how many of the TM believed in the BS this place has been slinging since the start.
