Are there any other associates being forced to take an extra day off this week?

They do that from time to time. Usually when people have worked too much OT, it's getting close to payroll and the CM panics that they went over their hours allowed for their club. The managers will either randomly pick people to cut, or ask for volunteers. All depends on your department and which area truly needs people to work in.

No but I always give the slackers a extra day off!!!!
not happening at my club. we are pretty short handed all around right now
