Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

TK leaving means Oracle Cloud will fail

TK is the back bone of Oracle Cloud to the extent that it would have flopped before now had he not been involved. But with the changing Oracle might fall out of the top 5 cloud vendors which would be a disaster. Oracle should make TK the next CEO.

"TK leaving means Oracle Cloud will fail"

or maybe TK left because Oracle Cloud has epically failed.

actually being Oracle and not being even in the 5 top players is more than an epic fail, it's just a disaster. and the cloud leader should have been TK.

so, yes, TK left just because he has epically failed.

They are just propping up the stock before the fall. It's gotta be really bad news coming up.

OP : I know you are just a troll, but nevertheless it's funny to correlate your predictions with the actual stock trend.

so, ORCL had a minimm of 47.71 on th 6th, then jumped to 48.86 on monday and now is >49 and well steered to reach 50 very soon. it actually seems that the market is VERY happy with TK leaving.

btw, Oracle is ALREADY out of the 5 top cloud players, we have been surpassed by Alibaba in the second Q of this CY, you may want to doublecheck with newer market analysis.

what's the deal with these analysts? What are they analyzing if they can't understand the complete customer revolt and mass exit from Oracle and the reaming they've gotten from support and arrogance from most of the exec management? If these are the people who are advising the "street" on Oracle's financial viability from cloud - then the whole market will collapse and burn very quickly. Why don't they demand answers to the basic financial issues - why is Oracle bundling cloud with on prem (maybe one of them is in negative territory) how is Oracle investing is data centre's globally? why is the strategy for support of the cloud products? Why would you advise investing in the number 5,6,7 or 8th company for cloud market share? Does Oracle "develop" any products anymore ?

Oracle cloud is a failure. It has a market share down in the "other / noise / margin of error" territory. Making things worse, people don't want new services from Oracle because they're tired of being scr@wed over in the past.

The place is on the express elevator down.

Causality can be confusing at times. Let’s see: will oracle fail because TK has been fired, or did TK get fired because he completely and totally failed to develop cloud products? I think most people would say it’s the latter.

TK brought many non technical people to the management and his org is seems to full of junk at the the top level. They are not capable of bringing new innovation to the product apart from showing a test report containing number of suc and diff to the higher management. We need more layoff from his org at the top level and replace them with highly technically skilled one.

If TK were the backbone, then Oracle needs chiropractors and/or files for short-term disability.

One small step aside from TK, a giant leap for MOGA

I'm very glad to see that TK continues to post here, now that he has more spare time on his hands.

TK lucked out with the acquisition of BEA Systems. Just happened to be in the right place at the right time as the BEA Middleware portfolio got popular. It was a mistake to dump all of the acquired cloud companies into TK's org just because of his Fusion Middleware success. Monolithic app development tools vs. large scale cloud computing are totally different universes.

there is no cloud and the emperor has no clothes

when will these so-called analysts, financial experts and gullibles see reality? even gartner (who usually s---s up big time to orcl) said there's nothing, barely ranking 5 out of 5 with aws and ms holding over 70% of the market --- so orcl is no leader in the cloud market and customers won't buy the mess. tk was a tyrant, encouraged conflict and he did nothing but prop up misaligned acquisitions trying to build a lego cloud product but all the pieces didn't fit. orcl acquires companies to own the install base, not integrate products, then sells franken-cloud.

I'm sure the market believes this to be true. TK is a genius Oracle cloud is doomed with out him... ORCL stock drops 10% overnight.
