Thread regarding Molina Healthcare Inc. layoffs

This is a move to manipulate stock prices, nothing more

Uneducated investors look at outsourcing as a cost reduction move because, in most cases, they don't know any better. There is no way that outsourcing their IT operations will save them money in the long run, but it should help to boost the price of the stock.

Further, the "retention" bonus is no such thing. You only get the bulk of it only if your position is transitioned to the outsourcing company. All they need to do is say that they aren't transitioning the position, wait a few weeks, and then offer to hire ex-employees back at reduced wages.

The founder passed away years ago. The children of the founder were forced out. Sure, they’ve moved onto other endevours. If you think they no longer care what becomes of Molina, you have missed the Molina culture that C. David nurtured. Working for Momina wasn’t just a job for everyone. For some it was much more. Those who care about the legacy of Molina are staying tuned because they care. The sad story is not over.

Good for him. It’s a business with shareholders. What do u expect? If the founders aren’t crying, you shouldn’t either. Learn by example. The founders moved forward with new business ventures. You should be moving forward with your job search or business ventures.

Amir Desai loves offshoring and that's his style to show cost reduction and pocket huge salary raises for himself. He takes advantage of vulnerable ppl on H1-B visas to get most work done and then makes most $$$ in the process.
