Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Forklifts are replacing shoping carts. Is that our reality?

No doubt this has been on the way for a while. Stores closing and online sales distribution centers are opening. If the retail market keeps moving that fast towards online sales I’m afraid more and more of us are going to find closed doors when we get to work. Is it possible that this is happening so fast?

My cm is like that also. Except she is constantly paranoid about everything. Always fixing her makeup, always messing with her hair and will even go buy clothes off the floor and change if she suddenly feels like she doesn't look good enough. She's always kissing up to the market team because she use to work in their club with them and she tries to keep them in her pocket. Cries wolf like it's her job! HO could be 2 hours away and she's telling everyone that they're on their way. Making everyone clean and zone like crazy. Next thing ya know, the whole day has gone by and no visit. Happens all the damn time. When we do get a visit she's on their a-- following like a puppy dog. Trying to wow them with her personality. She hasn't been at our club for a year and I'm already over it. Close our store. I'm ready

Cant get here fast enough. I for one and sick of it never being good enough. If I lose my job ill go find another one and yes I am a 20 plus associate. Id rather be pulling orders and shipping out merchandise then having to keep hearing how we have company coming that we have to have the club looking good. Of course they bring in extra help to get it there and then they cut all the help rest of the week. CM are so scared, in my 20 years I have never seen whats going on now. Giesel has everyone where she wants them which is scared they are going to lose there job. I have seen my CM work from opening to close scared that they would be coming in.

Awww V4V, you must be an angry CM that's upset that people are waking up and you can't call me in the office to tell me anything because you don't know who I am on here. You know all this is true and not even you know which club at what time. You're just as worried as all the rest, you just don't want to admit it's true. Don't down others for worrying about their jobs. Go elsewhere with your , I'm better than you attitude.

You're all id--ts, every company that exist has mo--ns like you always fear mongering....you're like a bunch of high school teenage girls though I doubt you ever got a diploma, otherwise you wouldn't be so worried about losing your minimal skill jobs....

It won't just be Gilbert. It'll be letting go of associates all over. Will your club close? Absolutely, but when is anybody's guess. We all saw it in January. They closed the low volume clubs, but they also closed many clubs that were doing great. Yes I know your CM tries to act all positive like all you have to do is work work work, keep those chickens coming, make sure to keep zoning, making things look good will keep you employed. The CM's are paid to say that. They won't listen when you try to talk reality with them. Especially the butt kissers. They will say how you're gossiping or bringing down the morale. Just keep yourself aware of what's really going on. Don't be a sheep to these people anymore. Prepare yourself.

Yes, if you read all the articles from Walmart CEO , The Sams Clubs that are by Costco's will either close or turned into there new mini Clubs , if the demo one in Dallas works. Sams Club warehouse as you know it is a thing of the past. A lot of them will close and be turned into this new concept store or ecommerce hub. In order for Walmart to survive they have to do something with Sams Club.

Unfortunately, yes. It's just easier to shop online, and have it delivered. We're all guilty of it. eBay, Amazon, Walmart. Even the grocery stores are getting in on it. Forget self checkout, they will shop for you and bring it out to your car. It's just a matter of time before they're taking it to your house. Prime now already does. It's the fault of every one of us. If it's cheaper online and free shipping then why not? Or we're always in a hurry, so let's put in an order and the grocery store then just pick it up on our way home. It's the future and parts of it will s---.
