Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

HR

Has anyone had feedback or success dealing with the new HR programs when “opening a case” just isn’t good enough? While MyHR has made it slightly easier and more accessible for all people leaders to preform common/basic HR functions for colleagues, talking with an actual person is still necessary in some situations when you’re not comfortable talking to the person you report to.

Thoughts? I feel like corporate just made it easier for stores to sweep things under the rug.

open a ticket and ask to be contacted in person via phone. Talk to a real person on the other end of the line. Problem solved. HRM's werent' always in the stores and spread amougst multiple locations, we never saw ours anyway.

No, it is not to sweep anything under the rug. It is to sweep anyone who is asking questions, or is looking for answers off the rug and out the door. Anything or anyone that is assuming that they matter -the only thing that matters is the divesting assets at the highest value will be leaving.... Stay quiet until you find a real job with real human beings and the go.

Remember "Path to growth" does not mean growth in people relations. It means getting rid of people that require HR guidance. Growth in profit is all that matters.
