TMG leadership (not engineers) are single handedly costing every intel employee thousands in lost EB bonus this year. be sure to thank SA and AK next time you see them in SC or OR as they deny their incompetence.

IPhones are ramping 7nm to the tune of 200+ million next year, OMG and intel can only get outsourced to TSMC 14nm

The article is very vague. Also, Intel can't outsource processor manufacturing just like that with their designs. Looks like they're only outsourcing chipsets, as that is usually on a previous node?

As to design rules, if you have restrictive metal and VA , gate and transition rules and go to a company with flexible rules your designs can go easily and probably yield better too!
More likely than it going to TSMC 12 or 10nm and not their 14nm as that is closer to Intel 22nm.
Once that gate is open imagine how much PTD and TMG will need to change, small high cost fabas and arrogant behavior compared to TSMC gigs fans, customer service and customer focus. Intel division lead by the Qualcomm guys and external CEO will say 🖕 to TMG
