You may have heard that some IT employees recently received a retention incentive letter. I wanted to provide some additional context regarding those letters and related matters.
As we mentioned during our recent town hall meeting, Molina recently issued an RFP so that we can explore a variety of options to help us build a more efficient IT operating model. Until that RFP process is completed, we will not know the go-forward arrangement. While we work through the RFP process, I wanted to provide some answers to a few questions that may exist:
• It is possible that additional IT employees will be offered retention incentives.
• Regardless of our new IT partnership, we will still be retaining a Molina IT workforce.
• The company we select will likely transition some Molina IT employees to become employees of that company.
• Once we finalize the details of our new partnership, it is possible that some IT positions will be eliminated. If that occurs, and if the employee in that position is not transitioned to employment with our new partner, that employee will be eligible for severance.
• We do not currently know how many employees will fall into each of these categories.
• The goal is to have a clear path forward for the Department by December of this year.
Our HR partner, S.S., is available if you have additional questions about the retention program, so please feel free to reach out to her with questions or schedule a time to meet. I will continue to update you as I have information to share. In the meantime, please remain focused on business as usual so that we can continue to provide high quality care to our members and high quality services to our fellow employees.
