Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

7nm in production

Apple's A12 Bionic is the very industry's first 7nm smartphone chip...

The thing has seven billion transistors, 6-core CPU, 4-core GPU, and 8-core Neural Engine for 5T operations/second...

And, there are no production delays...

What a FUBAR, Intel started with a three year lead and lost it, took more than 2x longer to develope their 10nm than TSMC for 7nm, something is really broken at the core in TMG and LTD, how long will management let this continue?

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

It's all right @3mru, because Intel is shipping millions of 10nm devices each week and doesn't have any manufacturing delays and capacity constraints that are starting to cause a ripple effect throughout the whole industry.

Perhaps Samsung should just claim that their next phone uses 4nm technology? After all, people like OP are willing to eat up any kind of marketing BS.

Intel is becoming irrelevant. That's why this topic is relevant to Intel layoffs. TMG once was the biggest competitive advantage. Now it's an boat anchor and huge cash drain. Wake up. As we fall a few generations behind, expect an announcement like Global Foundries where we say we're not going to compete at a certain advanced node. Sad by BK is responsible and this has been years in the works.

How is this relevant to Intel

So glad the board gave BK double digit raises while firing 11k older workers and taking his eye off 10nm. Meanwhile, heads of TMG remain in charge. We have no CEO and a dinosaur AB as BOD chair who thinks he is stll helpful. The world is going to TSMC and ICF is MIA.
