Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Thought others here would appreciate this

Considering our never-ending layoffs.

Of course, the greatest victims of layoffs are none other than the folks whose jobs are eliminated. But being a layoff survivor, so to speak, isn’t exactly easy. After all, how are you supposed to go about your business as usual when each day brings another dose of bad news?

I would rather go camping with a 400 pounder gas filled camper than work here any more.

"how BIG will it be."

If your group is being transferred to ES ... well, we know what happened a year ago,

I think a public layoff announcement would do the opposite of building trust with investors. Any analysts that follow Oracle know its history for managing employee head count. A formal layoff announcement would signal a panic. Also there would be no need to make an announcement unless it triggered a WARN notice, so it would need to be fairly significant in size.

If Q1 is as bad as they are predicting, then Oracle will have to respond with a public layoff. This will help rebuild their trust with investors and stakeholders to show they are cleaning up.
